Tuchel may walk.  Who knows?  He certainly will get a lot of stick.  Kane may announce his retirement from international football; he certainly won't play in another World Cup.  Another decent opportunity to break the cycle lost.

Wonder what the players will think of Tuchel now. They’ve been massively let by his ineptitude.

Not a chance, he’ll want paying off

And we won’t sack him

Can't see who would replace Tuchel to be frank.
A clinker on a sheep’s arse would do no worse

It was quintessential England at major tournaments to see us lumping the ball long to Dan Burn. Desperate. And it didn’t need to be that way.

I'd say the clear lesson is not to waste the licence fee on flying Micah fucking Richards, Wayne Rooney etc to the World Cup.

But he might step down as captain à la Beckham.

  • "I'm a believer mate" but only just.
Well if that was the Tommy Tuchel master plan they might as well have stuck with Southgate

Need pace up front to ease the pressure
Can't really ease the pressure when the front 2 are camped on the D

...and who will Tuchel blame for the collapse, I wonder ? and will the English media cover for him ?

I know who I blame entirely.

Hopefully they ship that fucking charlatan back to Germany. Bought in to offer tactical nouse that Southgate didn’t have and that’s what he served up. Absolutely pathetic. He got lucky in the previous rounds using similar tactics but to try that again when sitting deep already wasn’t working was absolute suicide.

Weird. Clever people have told me for ages that Southgate was the problem, and that a Proper Manager who made Proper Substitutions at the Proper Time was the missing piece of the puzzle.
