I think France bought into the idea that they were the best team in the tournament and just had to do what they do.

Spain looked like they knew they had to work hard and be on their game to win, came up with a plan and then executed it.

France thought they'd won the tournament already I think. They just didn't perform at all and seemed to go down two gears from earlier on in the tournament. We just need Emi to have a shocker tomorrow now.

I said in our WhatsApp group before the game that France were playing too many attacking players and I said it might cost them. Spain were excellent though.

I don't suppose we can afford Ruiz by any chance?

France usually have Olise, Mbappe and to a lesser extent Dembele to receive the ball and turn and run at defenders and to play through. Spain just fully stopped the ball reaching them and the one or two times it did, they snuffed the danger out.
