I'd fancy our attack against Spain a lot more than i'd fancy our defence against France.

Rodri is such a fine player. He's everywhere, but without moving very far.

Spain don't look all that potent in the final third but they really know how to retain that football. On balance I think England would fair better against them than France. I can see the England back four shooting themselves in the knackers the moment Mbappe or Dembele even think about running at them.

Oh god, not Roy fookin’ Keane again.  >:(

A man who looks for all the world like the worst fart he ever did has stayed swirling round him for the last 40 years.

Be careful what you wish for. This Spanish defense has been solid all tournament long. Would be tough for England to break them down.

Yes, but the other question is how would England’s defence do against France?

If England scored first, I'd have more faith in France getting an equaliser. as Spain can be too patient at times. If England conceded first, I'd have more faith in Spain holding on. After that first-half, it's hard to know who'd be easier should England make the final.

Keeping in mind that every time we post about England in the final we add a curse and reduce our chances by 0.2%.

This is the first decent team France have faced and suddenly they don't look quite as amazing.

Game has turned on Digne's mistake. France are going to have to make a change in midfield though with Rabiot on a yellow. Kone was excellent in the last round so a surprise he was dropped. Olise particularly and Dembele off it. But I think they will turn it around. That Spanish offside line is already getting a fair test.

I'l take that into consideration when posting about England getting to their first World Cup final in 60 years and bringing it home.

He’s probably my favourite other-team player in the PL. He’s the best in the world at what he does by a mile.

Ahh but you can’t curse it, because you don’t want it to happen!

True; that is a frightening prospect. Both teams offer its own unique challenges. As a neutral, I actually think England have looked pretty good until the last match which was touch-and-go.
