But Mbappe is a twat for refusing to shake hands with their keeper.

No he isn’t he was absolutely right.
Yes he is. Their keeper is a decent lad who just did his job without any play acting or shithousing. I would like to see him here at VP.
The keeper threw the ball at Mbappé's back just after he'd scored the peno. Frankly, as with the scuffing of the peno spot, the VAR should have intervened and sent him off.

Hearing also that the Paraguay bench were blatantly insulting Deschamps' mother - who died 10 days ago.

Gary "it's no surprise with this lot". This is the Gary that shilled for FIFA and Qatar at the last world cup.

Interesting to see which ref they have chosen for the Belgium game.
I wouldn’t put anything past Infantino.

I don’t think it was a red, so I’m glad he’s available.

It wasn't, but that doesn't matter. There have been many dodgy red cards in World Cup history. They don't get overturned. It's a complete disgrace and obvious what has happened.

It's a clear red. whether intentional or not you can't do that to someone's calf and ankle.

It doesn't matter and I don't care. Either way it shouldn't be overturned. There's no precedent. It's a fucking joke.

I think it was a red, he was not trying to play the ball and the down motion with his foot was likely to make contact with the defender.

Agree, it was VAR confirmed so no reason to re litigate the case.

If it was a genuinely awful decision you could maybe accept it as there is no option to just rescind a red in the WC. But it wasn't and there's fuck all chance the same decision is made for a Swiss player.

So, who are you supporting in this one? I'm going Norway as the Brazil wankathon is tedious. It's not the '82 side lads.

The BBC's main take on FIFA's decision is that it 'leaves the impression that FIFA is making things up as it goes along.'

Actually, that's not even the fucking half of it, is it?
