Hello Rory, you are here early tonight?

No stalling Aftab, I'm just here to see that knitted polo that BV mentioned.

You're a suave gent, you must own a few, yourself.

WTF is Paul Robinson wearing? Knitted polo shirts can GTF, they're worse than Paraguay.

A knitted polo shirt? Not sure I've seen such a thing.

They're a thing unfortunately, with merino wool and all sorts.

I don't own any polo shirts (or chinos), but I'm a tolerant person that accepts that golfers and others may feel the need to wear them. I just think that knitted versions are pushing it too far, and may ultimately lead to a bloody revolution.

Considering how many men France were playing against that is an impressive win.

Evening Grandad. Come on BV knitted tops have been a thing for 2 years now. I do have one myself and it’s ace, shows off my moobs beautifully.

Oh I love polo shirts, and have about 20 (all unbranded Asda/Tesco stuff).

Just never encountered a knitted one.

You do defy my expectations.

I like a polo shirt. That's why I've bought a couple of next seasons home shirt. Even better without a sponsor on it.

I suppose that if it makes your moobs look good, you'll feel its price worth paying. :(

Sad to see gentlemen like your good self influenced by some TikTok videos telling you what's "fashionable" now. Just be wary of those telling that you flares are back '"en vogue".

Why does FIFA keep tolling out awful referees? This Uzbek bloke hadn’t got a clue. I’m all for letting the game continue and ignoring players rolling around on the pitch but some of the industrial stuff Paraguay were dishing out deserved yellow and Red cards. As for the player clearly attempting to scuff the penalty spot, where was VAR?

I'd respect a man wearing flares in 2026.

The only 'uncool' people are those who follow trends. They might fit in at the time, but five years later they all look at photographs and say, "oh my god, did we really dress like that?"

Yeah, you did. You looked like a twat then and you only realise it now.

And guess what, how you dress now? You'll be embarrassed about that in five years, too.

Erm, I'd kindly ask you not to pollute the male fashion thread with football talk.

God no, I've never owned a pair of chinos. Few phrases strike dread into my heart like 'business casual'.

So what do you wear?

Not jeans, surely? I can't picture a ginger in jeans.
