Superb from the Morocco fans at the end there....

"You've got poutine, we've got lamb tagine,
We just don't think you understand,
We're all Moroc-co-can,
It's better than Canadi-an
We've got super lamb tagine!"

Never heard of poutine let alone tried it but having looked, it does sound nice, but anything with lamb in would win the day.

A few ‘street food’ places started trying to flog it a few years ago for about a tenner a pop but everyone quickly clocked it’s just cheesy chips in gravy and the novelty factor died off sharpish.

I spent 2 weeks on holiday in Canada and only had poutine once. At McDonalds.

If you try it, make sure you have the good stuff with cottage cheese.

It's fairly widely available in Cayman due to the number of Canadians there. Some places do the proper stuff with cheese curds, but even the fast food version with gravy and muenster cheese is pretty good post-pub.

I really like poutine. Surprised to hear people still haven't heard of it.

We loved poutine in Canada - as BV says, great beer drinking food and cheap too. However we only saw it in French speaking Canada, not in America Light

That wasn’t poutine mate. I’m glad you survived and are still here with us.

Poutine outside of Quebec isn’t poutine.
