Okay, I've been holding back judgement, someone will absolutely muller our defence.

No defensive and midfield structure, that’s the key thing for me. We’re so controlled under Unai that this just looks a disorganised mess.

Saka and especially Gordon made a positive improvement.

Play like the first 70 minutes against Mexico and we will be on our way home. We got very lucky today and there's no hiding it. The entire team were not up for it and Spence and Rashford were a special kind of shit. WTF is Tuchel saying to them in the dressing room before the game ? Morgan should have been on at HT.

Fair play to DRC by the way. Top effort.

Two wingers, with Kane, Bellingham, Anderson and Rice leaves us far too open. We can’t win it like that.

Mexico might be a stretch.

Proper game. Who wouldn't want to play in that game? I can name a few who shouldn't and a few that should. Let's face it, England can only improve.

Tuchal just doesn't seem able to find a balance to the team or combinations of players that works. We all know the defence is not the best but we play two no 6's, worth £240 million, against Congo and still can't protect the defence. Rogers is our most creative player (with Foden and Palmer sat in the UK) but Tuchal would rather put Rice at right back than allow Rogers to get on the pitch when we need a goal. He swapped both wingers when all of them have done bugger all. Again wider left would allow Rogers a bit more space especially as the game was pretty stretched at that point. As for Watkins, he might as well come home now and have a rest.

That was much harder than it should have been. Then they've got Mexico at altitude, probably followed by Brasil in the heat of Miami. That's going to be energy sapping before a likely semi-final with Argentina

It’s a proper World Cup game certainly. I’d love it if I were a player - Mexico in the Azteca is one of those pinch me things.

Gordon did get two assists to be fair.

Need a big improvement on that against Mexico, but hopefully the Mexicans are worrying how they are gonna deal with Harry Kane, whay a striker.

Can’t play without a creative player in midfield!
Agreed.Wharton,Scott and MGW can pass the ball swiftly and accurately. But not in the squad. And Matty Cash must wonder when seeing Spence at RB.

Cracks were properly papered over today. Kane gets us out of a big hole against, let's be honest, a bang average side. Relying on Kane and Bellingham to turn up seems our plan. No creativity in the middle and lousy wing play makes us easy to play against. Rogers not getting on the pitch is slightly worrying in a game like that, I'd bet he's thinking wtf....
