Playing Harry Kane as "false 9" when he is arguably the best real 9 doesn't seem a great plan to me. Seems people are just trying to shoehorn Villa players in regardless of whether it would actually work, again.

The problem with a lot of England fans is they expect the team to stroll every game and win comfortably. Its all a bit ridiculous really.

I generally like Hart, but the centre halves aren't to blame for Anderson running around like an excitable puppy. They suffer for it though.

Awful negative line up, press insisting Konsa be dropped for old man Stones, it's like massive failure Southgate never left.

I’d honestly have preferred it if he was, because I’ve a feeling England will absolutely tits this up tonight and Konsa is on the chopping block for the blame.

I'd play Kane as a 10, Ollie as the 9 and Rogers in the hole.

Harry Kane drops into deep positions all the time while playing up front. What I’m suggesting is a false 9 type of role where he still gets to attack but has another player doing the running for him opening up space. Take out Madueke who is quite shit and play another system.

Or, play the system that has made Harry Kane arguably the best striker in the world. Tell him to play exactly how he plays for Bayern, and pick the ten other players who can do the best impersonations of his team-mates.

It doesn't say "Stones should be playing", though.

Ok, that was my insinuation based on most of his pre/post game articles where he is pining for Stones pretty much every article, and specifically calling out Konsa to be dropped for him most times. This time he at least is happy for Konsa to still be on the pitch as long he is moved across so his beloved plays.

It’s not about getting Villa players in there. But Ollie offers something more than Madueke, a player who isn’t even a regular for his club. We’ve seen the two winger system and it hasn’t worked but he keeps sticking with it.

In the last couple of games, they've got the strolling bit down to pat.

That’s fine. We don’t have those players and the manager doesn’t have an Olise carving open the back line against mostly inferior opponents.

Yep. England love to play at walking pace.

It’s weird how the German England manager isn’t as impartial about Villa players as Villa fans are.
