England looked a bit more focused up front when star boy, prince Bukayo and Kane went off. There was more actual movement and Rogers found more space.

Rashford and Saka were poo. Thought Rogers played some nice combinations and Ollie gave us some impetus in the few minutes he was afforded. Kane was meh, despite his goal. As already noted, the defence were poor and we will get hammered against a decent opponent, like say Cape Verde.

Not happy as the internet went down here and i was forced to watch on my phone - maybe a blessing in disguise.

Glad Scotland are out as McGinn of all our players needs the rest.

If it stays as is, England definitely playing Ecuador and Scotland don't lose another place.

Did anyone else notice Tyrone Mings sitting in the posh seats at the England game? Peter Drury didn’t but still named everyone around Mings.

Yes, I mentioned it earlier. It seems others here were still too starstruck by JT's appearance just beforehand, to mention it.

ITV commentator did name him last after all the others were named, even though he was probably the most recognisable one there.

DR Congo disallowed goal VAR decision was very soft.

The quality of crowd shots has gone up a notch in this game. Good work by the director.

Granted, I'm always looking for reasons for England to get knocked out at the first opportunity, but Rogers probably needs a rest, also.

(Unless we sell him, in which case he can run himself into the ground.)

The child's come in from a big England night out and is now insisting on Portugal - Colombia.

Definitely the best World Cup.

Portugal v Colombia should be an interesting one.

This is proper good stuff for a first round group stage game.
