Do Scotland now have to sit around until Sunday waiting for unlikely snookers?

Pretty much. They have dropped from 2nd to 6th in the 3rd place table now. They heed 3rd place teams above them to lose by 1-2 goals as it stands, or the ones below them to not win. I suspect that too much needs to happen for them to not qualify but they are definitely going the squeaky route.

SJM is doing well but he’s not got much to work with here.

Really, I’ve not noticed him too much although ,apparently, I missed his cross for a headed chance.

That happened when he was on the right for a couple of minutes...

They need to hope Morocco hang on against Haiti first.

They finish ahead of Haiti regardless don’t they? Thought I read it was on H2H first

Of course, yeah. Still undecided on whether H2H or GD is better. Can see the arguments for both.

No excuse to shoot straight at the keeper. None. Shocking finishing.

It you meant the Rayan shot, it was a Scottish keeper so probably a shock that it was still saved.

Even so, this Brazil team are nothing special, just a shame Scotland are so accommodating.
If they play Japan in the next round, I think there is a very real possibility Brazil go out.

I was impressed with Colombia last night, their finishing could have been better but it was like shooting fish in a barrel. I'm expecting a few surprise results in the coming days, not that Colombia should be a shock, they're the second best team in South America.

Today GD would definitely have been better.

McTominay really should have done better there.

At least two of the teams below Scotland will be playing against group winners who you suspect will be resting players. Messi is the only goal scorer for the Argies and I can't see him being used in a nothing match even for the golden boot / extending the record.

Should have been 3-0. Great pass, the finish not so much.

TBF Vinni J was under some pressure from the defender...

Wouldn't surprise me if they did.  I've been very impressed by Japan in this WC: I can see them getting to the quarter-finals.

Mr J will be the only reason Brazil get any distance in this world cup.
