With how far back the stands are, to get it in with the fans from 25 yards our is impressive.

Well done Iran.

Should spur on New Zealand and Egypt.

All three 0-0 games have been among the better ones.

And Belgium brought on Fernando Partridge?

Wasting his time when he could be visiting a Victorian folly.

He did look out of breath, as if he’d been running.

Are Belgium the ultimate all fart no shit national side? So many talented players and nothing ever to show for it.

Arguably they wasted the best time for them with Martinez in charge. The majority of their "talented" players are now too old.

They had to rely on DeBruyne and Lukaku, two players whose best days are definitely behind them, and still hadn’t enough to unpick Iran.

They can point to the red card hindering them, but you’d argue even then they were leaving it too late for a team with any serious ambitions.

Lukaku showed in the last game that you need him to battering ram in the final 15-20 mins. He is not someone to play 60 mins, especially in that heat.

Battering ram? More of a beached whale these days.

Egypt are winning that group now. If that happens & Belgium scrape 2nd, they’ll be playing the Aussies or Paraguay by the looks of it. They may still stumble into the QFs yet, but don’t see them going any further.
