Bosnia down to 10 men. Can't argue with the decision.

Nice finish, though. The Swiss scorer is the young lad we were all worried about before the Europa final. He'd stuck in a few 20 yarders in the later knock out rounds, but barely influenced the game on the night.

It was notable his team mates gave him the ball at every opportunity, though, even in the deep playmaker position. Reminded me of the "give to Jack" days at the Villa. He's going to be a good player.

Must be mistaken, mate. Freiburg didn't have any good players. Not sure they actually won any games to get there either.

Been a poor day of World Cuppiness.

2 really weak groups that are playing today, only Mexico and Switzerland with any real quality (and even then they're teams where getting to the QF would be a huge achievement), this one of the problems with 3 host countries that all get seeded.

I'd be thoroughly unsurprised if South Korea win Mexico's group.

Maybe but I think they're pretty weak compared to the last few world cups where they have had a handful of very good players. This years squad feels pretty functional at best to me. I might be wrong though, I haven't seen much of them. I'd play Mexico down if they didn't have home advantage as well though so overall it's not a great group, same with group B (and D).
