Only because the BBC have suppressed all the Archie Hunter footage, the Villa-hating twats.

Messi was the greatest taking into account longevity. Maradona was the greatest based on what he achieved at his best, but he didn't stay at that level long.

Agree, and Ronaldinho was the most fun to watch at his peak. Zidane at Euro 2000 is the greatest tournament performance I've seen.

The real Ronaldo was a force of nature before the injuries.

Much as I'd love to pile in, I do think (oh god, oh dear) that Mbappé is a little bit overrated, I think he's one of the best players in the world but we also have to adjust to this post-Ronaldo/Messi world, where we've reverted to normal and being one of the best in the world doesn't necessarily put you in the conversation for the greatest of all time.

Are we supporting Iraq or Norway?

Iraq. Plenty of green shirts in their end, and I don't like the Norwegian kit.

Does anyone say Mbappe is in the conversation for the greatest of all time?

I am never sure when you have this who is better ' Messi is better than Maradona Pub chat'

Each generation had / has their obstacles  for example Maradona played on crap pitches and got kicked to buggery .  Messi played on better pitches and was

protected better but was up against fitter stronger defenders etc

I think if they played in the same era they would all been there or there abouts ( Thanks Steve Bruce )

Load of pish. Coach away. Making them stand in silence for three minutes is weird.

Sometimes a goal makes a game better but not sure that will be the case here.
