Be funny if they score now.

I confidently predict Switzerland will not win the World Cup.

Alexi Lalas called James Corden a wanker on their US coverage last night. Co-hosts Thierry Henry and Zlatan Ibrahimović, looked a tad surprised.
He didn't appear to understand what it meant.

Pretty standard in the US. They think it's just a funny British word.

It's been in at least one episode of The Simpsons (but edited out for UK broadcast)

First time I realised that the Yanks knew the word and that they weren't as bothered about it as us was when Married With Children aired an episode when they were vistiting family in Wanker County and the title of the episode is The Wankers.

Yeah, just a bit. Posted the video of it last night.

Alexi Lalas gives his thoughts on James Corden on US TV. https://x.com/eltonalikaj/status/2065561794240729096

Yeah, I understand people wanting Qatar to lose, but Switzerland are so dull at tournaments. Usually decent enough to get out of the group, then knocked out in the last 16 or quarters.

Switzerland are so dull at tournaments.

Winning 3-2 to get through the group stages last World Cup only to lose 6-1 in their next game? That's not boring.

Easily beating Italy in the round of sixteen in the last Euros before losing on penalties to England? Still not boring.

Knocking France out in one of the best football matches of the last twenty years before narrowly losing to Spain? Still not boring.

That's the last three tournaments...

I find them dull. If they float your boat, that's grand too.
