Let's hope the Brazil game is better. Think it will be.

I’m quite glad the game is boring as fuck, because it’s making it seem to go on forever and it’s my bedtime after this.

Alexi Lalas called James Corden a wanker on their US coverage last night. Co-hosts Thierry Henry and Zlatan Ibrahimović, looked a tad surprised.
He didn't appear to understand what it meant.

Pretty standard in the US. They think it's just a funny British word.

It's been in at least one episode of The Simpsons (but edited out for UK broadcast)

Manzambi is looking lively for the Swiss but they are a very ordinary team.

And on Friends, although specifically “wank” to mean something rubbish/silly/subpar.

Actually, two episodes of The Simpsons, the one with U2 (where Adam Clayton says it) and the one with piss-take of the British sitcom about the hooligan family.

Hate to see it, but the Swiss only have themselves to blame.
