Keane is an insufferable prick when it comes to his opinions on football, absolutely stealing a living as a pundit. Living proof that just because you were a good player it doesn’t mean you necessarily know anything about how the game works.

McGinn is literally the absolute opposite of what he keeps saying, he’s a player who almost never has a game where he is below 6/10. You’d never catch Keane saying the same thing about Ronaldo, when he is the definition of a waste of space on the pitch when things don’t go his way.

The Azteca is a magnificent looking stadium. Would love to go to a big game there some day.
Imagine the World Cup 1970 & 1986 tournament history made there in the harsh high altitude sunlight...

Azteca is a cracking stadium although I think it looked better before being modernised. Same with Hampden, used to be a fantastic ground all very meh now.

Modern Hampden is rubbish.

Yeh, it looks dreadful on all counts. The new Maracanã doesn't have the same character, even if the old one was a little derelict. I think the Azteca still looks great though, especially on the outside.

Salam Hayek lighting up the opening match with her presence. Her Spanish is very good as well.

I imagine the Flue Camp will put it firmly in the shade.

So how much did it cost Nike to put that advert together?

Great piece on the great Geoff Hurst, still the only player to score a hat trick for a winning team in a mens FIFA World Cup Final.

I'd love have to watched a Scotland v England game there back in the day.

You're too late to catch Clyde away to Queen's Park.

It's not quite Tim Sherwood levels of embarrassing, but the fact that we actually employed him to help us win football matches makes my teeth itch.

First quirk of this WC:
Live shot and introduction of the VAR team, I couldn't help booing which is probably unfair in this case.
