On the only post about Villa. There is one generic picture of a crowd Villa Park and then another of what looks like an airline check in desk in Germany.

So it just looks like innuendo.

I don’t know if these campaigners are trying to frighten clubs not to do deals with them?

There’s no evidence of a link with Villa which has been posted.

I haven't been able to find anything aside from that and a post on VillaTalk with no images.

Fingers crossed it's all bollocks.

It could be untrue but it’s adding up. This tweet says spotted on screen

People seeing it and thinking it is important enough to post, but not important enough to take a picture of...

Also, the current deals with sponsors don't expire till the end of the month, so would they really be showing new ones before then and before an announcement?

So for any journalists that find this as this will blow up, my friends documentary film website is https://www.mindingshadows.com/

Longer trailer that turns into fundraising but has more recent footage than the early  trailer on the site above.

I hope it’s wrong, but that Rw Twitter channel exists for a reason

Yes, but hopefully it's all stemming from the same source and it's rubbish.

The Twitter post is after the VillaTalk one, and I can't see anywhere anyone who has actually taken a picture.

Is anyone going near Villa Park today who could look?

The X account is called 'FactsonRwanda'. It's highly unlikely to be wrong.

can’t work out if you’re being sarcastic. If so apologies.

But it’s not v factual to put a pic of Villa bus arriving at VP and a pic of a German check in desk.

Suspect these campaigners are using one tweet on a motorist going past VP to try to warn clubs from dealing with them.

The fact it’s stock images doesn’t disprove (or prove) anything.

That Twitter channel has consistent Rw govt messaging and a bit of a deep dive AI analysis of it suggests

“@FactsOnRwanda appears to function as a long-running pro-Rwanda/pro-government amplification hub. It behaves more like a communications outlet than a personal account, but there is currently no public evidence identifying the operator or proving direct government ownership.”

It’s substantial that it’s on that account today and unless hacked a genuine villa fan spotted it at VP also.

Seems like old new/deals change over end of the month, I’m just hoping nothing signed yet though for them to be spouting it worries me a lot.

Maybe it’s unusual as 3 out of 4 UCL semi finalists were Visit Rwanda sponsored, and Kagame is such a well known Arsenal fan but the fact 8 out of his last 10 tweets are about football says a lot about the importance of sport washing to them.

Not sure which campaigners you are referring to , Twitter responses seem to be either presumably Rw footy fans saying Villa are a step down from Arsenal or Vill fans not welcoming this. No sense of anyone trying to warn anyone off apart from the above.

I know Visit Rwanda isn’t particularly appetizing (and I’m not advocating for it), but Visit USA would be quite shit too right now. And I’ll bet there would detractors to Visit UK based on what you might see or read in the media.

I personally don't care.

We need the money.

Sad but true.

I do care. It is what it is, but if it’s true it’s pretty ordinary.

We wanted betting companies gone and they are now. This isn't ideal but it's the way the game is now.

If we only accept deals with 100% fully ethical sponsors then we're gonna struggle. It's difficult enough for us as it is being outside of the Sky 6.

I realise I will be on my own here.

Oh well.
