Our colours are claret and blue, not claret, blue and white. The kit is claret and blue, it's actually correcting a historical anomoly with white shorts, and I'm starting to think all together it looks great.

Fuck what fans of other teams think, fuck any comparisons with other teams that wear our colours as they're only poor imitations.

Historically all football shorts were either white or black.

The colours in shorts only started in the 60s.

And I'd imagine that was down to cost or supply rather than any sartorial reason.

Yeah, Barcelona couldn't even get the shade of red right.

Yep probably - although colours may have been considered garish - and the sky blue socks is only a relatively recent tradition. Historically our socks were mainly black or occasionally claret.

Claret shirt, blue sleeves, white shorts*. You can have different coloured socks if you like but blue is clearly the best option.

Fair play to Cardiff fans for protesting when they changed the colours, even though their colours are boring as fuck. We have the best colours in football and regularly piss about with them, only to have supporters queueing up to say how brilliant the shit sandwich they've been served is.

*obvs fair enough if the women want to wear darker shorts.

An abomination of shades, see also Crystal Palace.

I will however give Palace some credit for changing their rip off kit and colours up a bit in attempt to forge their own identity.

Nothing would make me happier than if we won the quadruple in the claret-sleeved shirt playing three at the back.

and celebrating with Cold play songs !

Bono cover versions.

I bet would Chris would too

Outside of this site I’ve not heard anyone else mention it. Why fans of any other club would be discussing it is beyond me

We have an ‘other teams kit’ thread, so it not beyond the realm of others discussing ours

Yeah, plenty of teams have taken a good, long look at our kit and tried to nick it for themselves over the years.

Bloody thieves.

At least we don't have to worry about that next season.

The kit Gods smiled on us last 2 seasons and played their part in us winning silverware. I wouldn’t be at all surprised if we went down at the end of next season.

They'd have to win something pretty big...

Are the home shorts going to be white or blue? I genuinely can’t tell.

They are "glow blue", apparently.
