If Bailey wasn't Bailey we would have hammered them 1-4 minimum. He couldn't even slot a simple pass to Watkins for a deserved hat trick. Awful player, good riddance!

The greatest season ive had as a Villa fan. The way weve responded after that Spurs game has been magnificent. To win the cup is amazing, to finish.4th again with 19  wins just seals it. Magnificent.
Yeah was thinking myself that previously for me it was undoubtedly either 89/90 or 92/93 as the highlight (was 20 days old for the European Cup final so can’t really claim that one!). Got to be this season now, hasn’t it?

What a great way to finish an incredible season. Enjoy the break everyone. Big summer ahead, as they all are. Get it right and the league needs to watch out...because Villa are coming.
Well said

that was a special second half - tactical masterclass at HT for that second half by King Unai.

Can we show some respect here please? Three people will be employed by different clubs next season. How does a win away to the team who finished second count in comparison?

Quite right that they didn't show a second of our guys saluting the fans at the end. They should have muted the sound tbh

Probably the best half this season. Should get pissed up more often.

What a fantastic win, after the exertions of the last 9 days, on and then off the pitch. This gives out a strong message, we do mean business.

81-82 was a mediocre seaon all in. We only just about scraped a top half place in the league

I gave zero shits about the result before the game,  but winning the ‘turning up at Pep Guardiola’s leaving do and pissing in the punch bowl’ bowl feels pretty great.

Quite right. Utterly disrespectful. As was beating them at home with kids and hangovers. We need to know our place.

It feels like in the last few weeks we've gone up several levels and now exist on a different plane to mere mortals.

We are 100% winning the league next year.

We were absolutely superb from minute 43 onwards.  Bossed the second half.  Onana, stay fit, absolutely superb.  Other than Bailey, who was bloody crap, the rest of them, second half, were superb.  I hope we can get some quality in because we really have the foundation of a very good side.  Played some lovely football.  Two nicely taken goals from ollie.  Buendia, Barkley, Mings, Lindelof, all worked really hard.  What a week, what win.  4-2 against Liverpool, beating Freiburg, beating C115ty.  FANTASTIC.
