My expectations from today are that one of the fringe players does something that makes me think “hmmm, maybe they can still play a part next season”.  That’s it. The result is meaningless, but I’d like to see “something”.

What we’ve seen so far is how good Emery was at playing essentially the same core group of 15/16 players of a 25 man squad, getting top 5 and a trophy. Because 7/8 of the squad as it stands are not overly trustworthy.
