Just got back from the parade , well the pubs as well after..  what a day and how many ?....   A brillant turn out with smiles  and emotional tears  , this club is special....

Looking at social media over the last few days I actually didn't realise how big our support is

Who knew the shires were so populous?

Loved the parade despite my scepticism it would be too low key when the quick turnaround from winning was announced.

Didn't fancy standing in Broad Street for hours so headed to JQ and got a nice spot pretty much opposite the Rose Villa tavern.

Liked they did a loop round Sand Hills roundabout as that was nice chilled spot for people to wait.

Then it was chasing them round the back streets of Brindley Place. Again found a nice stop in a bus stop opposite Snobs to see the trophy buses come into Broad Street.

Really well done by the club. Let's not wait another 30 years for 24 hours like this please. Also let's do something radical like win the FA Cup so we can have a few days more notice for things to be organised but great turnout by everyone. I love scanning the crowd for all the different kits being worn, think every home shirt we've had since the late 80s was worn today!

Holy crap. The main item on the 6 O'clock news.

That surprised me as well. If I wasn't a Villa fan, I'd describe the coverage as positively gushing.

Were the first item on the 10pm news last night aswell. Either someone high up in BBC editorial is Villa fan or they're showing their commitment to positive new stories outside London.

Surprised me aswell as can't recall any of Palace, Newcastle or Spurs leading the coverage last season when they all ended their trophy droughts.

From the local offerings I thought ITV News Central did a super 25 minute piece, well worth watching for those who can access ITV X as they interviewed Peter Withe and went to Morgan Rogers old school in Halesowen.

Midlands Today was a bit more lacklustre although they were unlucky with the timings of course coming on air as everyone was leaving.

Just got back, went up there sober come back like Tyrone.

Went straight from New Street Station, Villa fans getting on the train at all the stops from South Wales, hit a pub for a beer and burger, walked up to Centenary Street at 3:30pm....bus didn't arrive til after 6pm, sang, danced, smelt some flares, right next to the ITV cameras, met a cute Brummie bird in head to toe 1874 gear, drained my phone battery, had a laugh, the sun was out, welled up when the King spoke, wanted the bus to stay 10 minutes longer, bought 3 beers for £7 in Tesco, train back, whatsapp'd my mates we're the fucking best, same time next year, Up the Fuckin VILLA!

A friend of mine who has absolutely no interest in football was in Birmingham for a work conference and found himself somewhat caught up in the parade.

He said 'the atmosphere was incredible' and 'Villa fans seem really nice'.

So well done ladies and gents, boys and girls.

I was there on Broad Street with my family. Atmosphere was fantastic! I was amazed at how many people turned up at such short notice on a work and school day! I believe there was thousands still in Istanbul! We have such a huge fanbase....UTV!

What a great evening and a brilliant turnout. Kudos to everyone involved in planning and organising it.

Just like the night before, the vibes were immaculate, just thousands of happy, smiling people having the best time. Birmingham gets loads of stick, not all undeserved, but it looked and felt like a city to be proud of.

3 of us landed at Heathrow at 3:30pm.We put BBC sounds WM on the way back to Brum.We all thought despite the on street reporters bigging up the numbers , there' wouldn't be a big crowd, late notice and supporters on the way back or still in Instanbul. Watched the News last night and was very proud. Well done to all who went up and made it an occasion worthy of the team"s achievement and the club and council for sorting at such late notice.

As I was walking up past the Council House I got talking to a fella who was telling me it was ‘a disgrace’ that we hadn’t won anything for 30 years. How’s that for Brummie pessimism? I did very gently remind him that the thousands of thousands of C&B clad people were out to celebrate winning something less than 24hours ago but, it was sunny and I was happy.

Did anyone else see the lone brave bluenose walking through Victoria Sq with his rags top on, around 4.30?
He received a good round of boos but it was all light hearted!

I landed at Stansted at 3.15 and like you listening to WM. When I heard they were late setting off I decided to have a go and just made it!

He's probably boasting on SHA that he showed 'da Vilers' that the city is still theirs.
