Very short notice. Last year Liverpool and Palace held their ones on the last Bank Holiday Monday in May. It is easier to close roads off on a day like that which has seemingly stopped us finishing at VP.

I can't believe the World Cup is just stopping things as a third of our squad aren't playing in it for a start and St Georges Park is just a half hour drive for Konsa and hopefully Ollie.

Timings are a bit off today aswell. 6pm to half 7 would've been better. Still get down to JQ, watch the parade start and then walk over to Broad Street where I imagine the main celebrations will happen.

You did read that BH Monday clased with the Pride Birmingham in the city centre and I'm guessing BCC might also have not had the manpower to close major routes from Brum to VP at short notice as well as dealing with that.

Centenery then. Just remember you will need to walk up as the trams will be stopped at New Steet.

I am on my train down now - I don’t really know the city centre much anymore so am going to go to Centenary for the parade itself. Where are the good pubs nearby or should I go up to Jewellery Quarter for an hour or two before?
