James Wright on after 9 minutes as we’ve kept Big Emis back injury quiet and Bizot can’t face it.

Good selection, was too much of a risk to start with Onana, only for him to habe to come off after 15 mins.

Its essentially picked itself...

Bigger risk for him to come on and limp off. Must be nowhere near ready physically or mentally for it. Might not see him at all. Really worried about Lindelof in there. Was very poor in the 2 x PL games and Freiburg have to target that area with an extra man. Also worried about our bench generally, nobody on it close to starting on current form. If we need to change things I'm not sure where Emery turns.

So it's back to our stalwarts once again to do the business for us. That's a hugely experienced team. There's quality in every line. Watkins and McGinn are in outstanding form. Buendia best form of his career and Rogers back to his best against Liverpool. Think we will have a big scare but will get the job done.

I'm strangely pleased to see Harvey Elliott on the bench.

Haven’t been nervous in the lead up until now.

Elmo said it was going to be easy for us, hope he’s right. Come on you Villa boys, etch your name in the history books. If we come out with the same tempo as our last two matches, we’ll be hard to beat.

Please Villa, please.

The odds of Elliot coming on in a scenario that doesn't include us being miles ahead are miniscule.

Yep. We have a bigger bench in Europe so some of the names on there doesn't mean too much.

It's more that they've seen fit to include him in the occasion, rather than expecting him to come on and score an equaliser.

It's been a while since I've been so nervous before a match, but still confident we'll do it.
