With scanning now needed to enter, they should have removed people who didn't physically attend from the matches even if they were counted for attendence.

To make it fair to season ticket holders AND members who attend all games, it should have been on a points system.

For every league/European game a season ticket holder/member attends, they accrue a fixed number of points. This way, season ticket holders don't get their noses out of joint when someone with a total of 7 games under their belt gets in ahead of someone who's attended all the home games.

Some members will be attending as many games as ardent season ticket holders, they just can't get hold of a season ticket.... AND they'll be paying a fuck tonne more for the privilege.

And as for season ticket holders kicking off about not getting final tickets when they haven't attended the Europa games... well that's just tough imo. You shouldn't expect to jump to the top of the list if you haven't supported the team throughout the competition.

From Karl Bowater:

Just been on with FSE and sat through a Presentation.
Free travel from both Istanbul airports to Taksim Square with Match Ticket
Free travel on Match Day with Match Ticket
The fan park in Gesi Park will have a stage. All controlled by the Villa.
Ground is 15 min walk from there. All down hill. Fans with Disabilities will get free shuttle bus
Villa fans enter into Blue section of the stadium.
UEFA tickets are Green or Purple so you need to follow them.
2 ticket checks before stadium. 2 security checks.
No coins. Powerbanks no larger than your phone. Then ticket scan into stadium.
Bags no larger than A4. Suggest not to take one!
Turkish Law is to carry ID but no passport checks at stadium
The club will be issuing a comprehensive travel guide in next couple of days and these will be emailed to ticket holders

Video showing the route from the square to the ground here also

Nice one, Fan park right opposite my Hotel

Doesn't say whether any Alcohol will  be on sale though, I know it's not in the ground, but would hope it is in the fan park

Also, looks like if any 'Blue' tickets are on resale, they will have have come from the official allocation

Not going to be able to blag my way to the turnstiles (without a ticket) with my Blockbuster video rental card looking at that.

I’m now hopeful of securing a ticket. Nothing definite yet but I’m assured it’s legit.

Ha ha, i've had a couple of Efes before, but not in Istanbul on the matchday of a Europa league Final with 10's of thousands of foreign fans around :)
