Without wishing to prolong this further I think we can safely assume with what happened at the FA Cup semi last year and now the EL Final this year, for these “showpiece” Neutral venue matches where there are limited tickets the club are prioritising ticket access to those who’ve attended games rather than your “status” and being an ST over a member doesn’t matter, though you obviously need to be either an STH or a Member.

We can debate until the cows come home whether that’s right or not but that seems to be the rationale. I personally disagree as it should be STH priority over Members imv but the bit that annoys the most is the fact the club haven’t explicitly said this is how they’re going to be doing this moving forwards and to me that’s not fair on STHs who should have been told.

This is the first time demand outstrips supply at VP though, and by that I mean the 5 last years. So just as away tickets is a fairly closed shop, so are season tickets. There will be plenty of members that would love a ST but instead spend more than a ST costs to go to league games in a season, and their cup tickets cost more. There is no system that is fair to everyone and would mean that everyone that deserves a ticket gets one.

My only question back for people who feel extremely hard done by at not getting a ticket for the final despite being an ST holder and going to all 7 home games, is that there are ST holders who are willing to travel overseas from group stage games etc, whereas for a final many many more are suddenly happy to travel that weren't in earlier rounds.

Good question, but the away allocations have been pretty limited since we've been back in Europe, making the away tickets difficult to get.

If I recall correctly, the semi-final last year prioritised memberships with a certain number of FA Cup games over season ticket holders who had attended fewer games in the competition, so a bit different to this criteria.

It is what it is though and we're just unlucky that it's staged at a considerably smaller capacity ground the season we get there.

The rich get richer.
The poor are getting poorer.
Fascist, chauvinistic government fools.

People have mentioned about shortage of season tickets at the present time, well there was no shortage of tickets when we were shit and had to close the Trinity Road stand because we were playing shit,we put our money up front season after season regardless, so do we now have our own glory hunters?
