On Buendia, he was so super focussed that he didn't so much as look at the Torres penalty appeal he was right next to, just went chasing back to the edge of the box to win the ball back.

My son and my brother walked into the city because of the Aston train queue and decided to risk having a drink in the town, (we don't drink in town)finally left at 1.30 am,

Im struggling to put last night into words.

I was so nervous before the game - but once I got to my seat - it was clear that this was going to be different.  It seemed as if every single player, and every single fan knew their role and shared a steely determination to make sure the job got done this time.

And what it created was unstoppable.

I think I have probably seen us play better - but I have never seen us play with such ruthless focus. Every player was fantastic - special mention for Beundia - who stepped up when it mattered most.  The icing on the cake was Watkins and McGinn - two of our best ever players, who both put in probably their best ever performances.

Last night wasnt the Aston Villa I've been watching for the last 30 years.  It was the the all conquering Aston Villa of the history books.  And god willing - that will be exactly where this curremt team belongs.

If I didn't know better I'd think that last season's final day catastrophe was all part of Unai's master plan.

Given that Villa Park is widely accepted to have played a big part in our victory, we should take some time to admire the players who ensured that we would have each second leg at home. Step forward, Kadan Young and Jamaldeen Jimoh-Aloba for their Salzburg masterclass.

Had a little peruse of a forest forum. Weird bunch, many on there hate emery for throwing the spurs game by.... making as many changes to the team as they did against chelsea.

Without doubt will go done as one of the greatest Villa Park nights in our great history, the performances from all of the players were 10 out of 10, except for SJM his was 11 out 10.

I reckon those that were at the ground will carry some trauma for years.
