Sancho has now reached a European final in each of his last 3 seasons

Not bad for a complete waste of space!

Whilst on-loan from ManU and for each of the competitions. Their can't be many who have played three finals in three consecutive years either. Currently 1-1 so ours will be the decider.

Bittersweet, as I lost my Dad yesterday.  A Villa supporter since WW2 days. I hoped he could hang on for the final, but there you go...

His final match was the Sunderland match, when he somehow got to his feet for Tammy's winner.

What a performance and what a captain we have. McGinn is on another planet.
Gambled a few weeks back and booked plane tickets for £260 each and hotel for £200 for 3 nights. I thought when I left the game on Sunday I’d wasted it all but Istanbul here we come!!!!!

The key was Lindy.
He made the platform for the rest to storm forward.
Thank god Emery finally saw sense and played him.
44 years.
Brilliant

A phenomenal performance from back to front. Forrest must feel punch drunk right now. We didn’t let them settle at all and hounded them to death. McGinn blasting the ball at Anderson’s head whilst he lay prone on the pitch was delicious. Everyone 10/10.

Lindelof was magnificent until he naturally tired playing a more physical role but there is mileage on using him here for the rest of the season if Onana isn’t available.

Watkins; that was a performance for the ages. Constant pressing, harrying. His hold and link play were as good as I’ve seen from him and that image of him with his head wrapped up could become iconic.

Buendia’s best performance in a Villa shirt. Pressing and tackling was exceptional but his dribbling and passing was truly up there. And his sorcery for the goal was sublime.

Hard to pick MOTM but it must be McGinn for me. He is the motor of this team and the levels drop when he’s not playing. Everything he did was top class.

Good shout from Hendrie in the post-match thing, talking about how Lindelof made it easier for the CBs to boss things. Very good call from Emery there.
Yes, close to being MOTM, he was outstanding and created the platform for the victory.

Bit of Schadenfreude for me. Not so smug now are you Elliott Anderson? Cheating git.

If we do actually manage to win it, hope Brighton finish 6th. Palace have screwed us over enough times.

Thought Lindelöf was like prime Vieira at times tonight.

Buendia MOTM I thought, but whole team was superb.

Won't matter either way for Champions League when we win all our remaining games and power into third place.
