Bradford in 1988.

As a kid that had been going only a couple of seasons that day was a totally new experience for me, when the place actually lived up to all the stories I'd been told.

Bradford in 1988.

Great days indeed, my student grant pee'd up the wall on the Division 2 promotion trail under Sir Graham.

Its got me ready to go for tomorrow, Sunday a distant memory.

Glad they posted this because I've never been to a match before and wouldn't know how to sing or shout without a "pay attention to me" fan group explaining it for me.

Totally agree.

You're aware most of the messaging they do goes via the club first? They decided to get the group more involved precisely because they felt the atmosphere needed a helping hand.

Couldn't care less about the politics or how liked this group are, they are absolutely right, tomorrow night is about doing everything within our power to help the team win. I'll be shouting my voice ragged from K1.

Just as you would have done without this message. We don't need to be told how to shout. It's a semi-final, FFS.

Only Villa fans could turn on their own for such a thing as encouraging a good atmosphere  ::)

This needs to be a night like Inter/Atletico/Bayern for atmosphere...we score first and they will crumble..

That 1994 Inter night was incredible. I've never experienced an atmosphere like it.

If all can re-create that, we're through.

1994 - Wall of Noise. IIRC the Holte End Upper wasn't open. I even had a couple of Nose fans admit they were cheering us whilst they were watching at home as the game progressed.

Yeah that is a fair point. Still got no issues with them trying to encourage some of the quieter fans into making noise though.

It's not so much that, I get annoyed at any self-appointed groups instructing me on how to support the team when I've stood on a half empty terrace at Selhurst Park in the pissing rain watching us gub a penalty shoot out again, plus these groups tend towards this 'ultras' bollocks which I vehemently oppose.

That is enough to have them rounded up and shot.

I was in the old Trinity Upper for that Inter game directly level with the penalty spot at the shootout end.... Still get goosebumps thinking about it.

Hope to God it doesn't play out the same tomorrow night, I'm 50 now and don't think my ticker could cope! A nice routine 3-0 win please Villa.
