I'm not looking forward to this - tonight is more about mentality than talent. We need to be switched on, run hard, commit and concentrate.
I'm not cut out for this sort of success of having a good team in big games.

The first semi final I ever went to was back in 1970. Third division Villa v Manchester United (the team of Best, Charlton and Law, who had won the European Cup two years earlier). The first leg ended 1-1 at OT.
For the return, nearly 60000 turned up at Villa Park. Kidd gave United the lead, only for Andy Lochhead to claim the equaliser. In the second half Pat McMahon scored the second. The noise from Villa Park must have been heard right up to Manchester and down to Wembley. I have never known an atmosphere quite as good as that night. Let's recreate that tonight.
Let's believe, roar the Villa on and get through to the final.
Yup - I was there and it was A.Maz.Ing.

An expectant, festooned, calm Villa Park. Wouldn't it be a great place to die or fall in love again?

I'm heading to the Indian Brewery Tap to watch it.

I'm head to bed for a hour until the teams are announced. It's been 6pm for hours.

Lots of Villa strolling 'round Town today, more then usual, perhaps it's the clement weather?

Off to the Unity Pub in Brighton shortly, should be a decent number of Sussex Villans.

Nas, Wes, and Prince William out for a few pre-match scoops to steady the nerves?

Go at it fast and get lots of crosses in, it's well known that fancy dan foreign teams don't like it up 'em.

Never felt so nervous about a game in my life.

Feel like I'd like to just go to back to bed and wake up in about 22 hours time rather than deal with the stress of today.
I've done this a few times in the past - last time was v WBA in the play-offs second leg.

I am not going to watch it, my nerves are already fucked with an hour or two to go. I'll just have a nice relaxing evening, avoiding everything football and then have a look on here at 10 or so and see if all the stress and nonsense is over.

I listened to it in my bedroom. Scared the living daylights of those downstairs when I shrieked and jumped around the room when we scored the second!

10pm? Just in time for the penalties.
