I'm dreading penaltes, apart from maybe Ollie, there's not one Villa player I would feel confident about taking one.

Blimey, if a career record of "taken twelve, missed six" is the one player we'd be confident about...

I was going to say, love Ollie but not on pens.

Really think he will go with Bogarde again.

I'd probably not even have Ollie in my first 5.

Cash
Dougie
Digne
McGinn
Buendia

Chances of McGinn being on the pitch after 120 minutes are slim, I'd say.

Think Cash took and scored one in the Lille shoot-out.

Cash and McGinn missed in the Brentford League Cup defeat. Watkins and Buendia scored. Tielemans, Watkins, Cash and Luiz scored against Lille, Bailey missed. Of the current players, Konsa and Buendia both scored when Chelsea knocked us out while Tammy, just about, scored in the playoff win against Albion.

Would fancy our chances saving pens but not scoring them

If we're level going into a period of extra time later, we HAVE to go for the win.  I'm totally convinced we wouldn't score more than 1 or 2 pens out of 5.

Levels of tension rising as the day progresses.  Me and my clan will be watching from (behind) the sofa later.  Here's to everyone going tonight managing to enjoy what I hope will be a very special atmosphere and result.

Too nervous, voice in my head, keeps telling me its the biggest game in 44 years….keeps reminding me of potential knock on affects and consequences if we fail, more than likely driving tonight, so pre match voice not going to  be quashed by alcohol.
Can’t think about team selections good or bad now until they are announced, definitely can’t contemplate pens.

This is the day. The team, manager and us lot have to stand up and see it through, there is no other option.
Cmon the lads….UTFV!!!

Chances of McGinn being on the pitch after 120 minutes are slim, I'd say.

I expect it will be one of them that he stays on as he isn't needing to play too many more matches, but I suspect it will depend on his "knock" and how bad he becomes when he is fatigued.

For those saying biggest game in 40 odd years I’d say the 2 FA Cup Finals were bigger.

First time Martinez puts his foot on the ball the crowd should let him know that aint on tonight.

Steady. That's how we've played for three years and it isn't going to change tonight. We need to be better in every way than Sunday and I'm sure we will be.
