Yet seemingly the whole county is praying and hoping that we get a good tonking as our comeuppance and just reward.

Understandable, if you're based in Northants.

I would be cheering on the opposition of any English team in Europe, always harder to choose when it it two English teams though. However the fans of anyone who can still get 6th will be cheering us on to go and win it I suspect. Most others might see the Sunday capitulation on a reason to cheer Forest on along with them being seen as a smaller club in many ways. I know if it was Forest V someone in the top 6, that would be my reasoning to go with them.

The whole country lol

Small Heath.

Yeah. Also it’s something their fans would come out with. People need to chill.

We’re top five. They’re bottom five. We have a second leg to come where a minimum two goal win shouldn’t be beyond us.

Yet seemingly the whole country is praying and hoping that we get a good tonking as our comeuppance and just reward.

What should have been an enjoyable and exciting cup run seems to have become a toxic PR disaster for the club. How did it come to this?

Because cuddly Forest and Brian Clough.

I think we will nick it to be honest. Forest needed to smash Chelsea to secure pl status. We may be just shithousing. Or we may go mildly into the night with smashed confidence and again miss out on CL. Who knows?

Same Ads. I've had a knot in my stomach all day. Its finance month end at work and I'm really struggling to concentrate.

Yep. Last Thursday was stressful enough. I keep wavering from a steady performance with enough control to nick it to a nightmare of forest scoring a few on the counter attack.

Forest showed very little in the 2 games we played them recently to suggest they'll come to Villa Park & turn us over with the kind of ease some seem to think. Sunday's game against Spurs is irrelevant to what happens on Thursday.

They've been incredibly proficient in their other games against a dreadful Burnley, a Sunderland who failed to defend everything & a Chelsea side who seem to have turned into Spurs.

We have nothing to fear, but we'll have to play with much more energy, tempo & movement.

Its awful. I have no idea what I'll feel like if we don't go through. I want this so badly it's impossible to articulate.

I am wavering between being 2 down dead early and huffing and puffing, but then I've read the "bring a scarf" rallying cry and I can hear the noise of Villa Park and it fills my cup again.

If it's going to happen, it'll happen. And when/if we win it'll be to a backdrop of atmospheric intensity that will have the whole of football remembering what we are.

It's not just getting to a European final, it's getting to a European final that the winner of this semi-final will most likely win.

I was thinking today that I should be excited and looking forward to this. We’ve dreamed of competing in Europe like this. The reality is like you I’m too desperate for us to get through to enjoy any of this.
