I don't understand why people want to play defenders out of position in midfield. It may as well be Bogarde if we're shoehorning centre halves in or our full backs.

Anything to avoid starting Bogarde and Buendia.

Buendia has had far better games at home then away all season and Bogarde will be more secure with Pau and Konsa behind him.

There's no way we're going to go with some wacky players out of natural position game plan in a European Semi Final 2nd leg with a deficit of only 1 goal. It's not panic stations, we don't need to throw Forest off or ourselves for that matter. Have a bit of faith with the team and plans that have got us this far in the first place.

The only reason I think it might well be Dougie is that we didn't see him at all on Sunday.

I think it’ll be that but with Bogarde instead of Luiz.

Forest fans seem to think that Aina and Sangare are definitely out (neither trained today), Gibbs-White didn't train but they seem 50/50 on whether he'll play, and Murillo was back in training so will probably play.

I would be shocked if Gibbs-White is anywhere near being ready to play tomorrow, and wouldn't be surprised if he is out for a good few weeks.  Looking at the pictures from Monday it's pretty clear that he lacerated his scalp/forehead as well as breaking his nose. I was unfortunate enough to lacerate my knee a few years ago and it's not just a straightforward deep cut, for a start he will be on pretty strong painkillers and antibiotics aside from just allowing sufficient time for the wound to heal.

There is no doubt whatsoever that Gibbs-White will be fit.

Linderlof as a CDM next Youri makes sense to me. Keep McGinn on the right. We need a physical  player in that pivot.

agree .

Me too but when was the last time (assuming there was ever a first time) when Unai picked a team we'd all wanted?

I'm sure it's muscle memory from Olympiacos, or PTSD, but I fear if Dougie starts he's going to cough up a soft penalty for them.

It’s not Unai’s MO, but i wonder if an out of the box selection might be worth trying.

Tammy up front with Ollie? Maatsen out wide in a 5 man midfield of mcginn, teilemans, rogers, luiz, maatsen all behind Watkins?

There is no doubt whatsoever that Gibbs-White will be fit.

Then we'll have to make him unfit.

I think we should keep Rashford, Asensio and Malen on the bench and bring them on second half if required.
