Onana obviously not fit is something you can say at least once a month. Definitely cash in in the Summer.

If Emery does not solve the central midfield problem then the tie is gone.

Dougie deeper for me rather than Bogarde, given Douglas can move the ball on better.

Time for heroes.

Sadly yes, can’t go with Bogarde on his current form. I’d have Mcginn in there but then who plays wide right? Sancho definately not. Why hasn’t little Harvey had some game time?

This will be the team:

         Martinez
Cash  Konsa  Pau  Digne
      Tielemans  Doug (or Bogarde)
McGinn  Rogers  Buendia
          Watkins

I'd go a little left field and have a midfield behind Watkins of:

Maatsen McGinn Doug Youri Rogers

If I see Bogarde Buendia or Sancho starting I'll not be overly optimistic, however MGW possibly out for them is significant.

If there's one thing we've surely learned under Unai, there will be abssolutely no 'left field' surprises in selection.

Linderlof as a CDM next Youri makes sense to me. Keep McGinn on the right. We need a physical  player in that pivot.

This is the 11 I'd go with too... (*but ditch Bogarde, unless its as night watchman in the 85th minute and we're 4 goals up on aggregate!).

It’s a pity he didn’t try this when we had 3 midfielders out, so I can’t see him springing this one.

Anyway, 2-0, with goals in the 90th and 93rd minutes, just to kill off about a third of our supporter base.

I agree. I don’t love Doug in the defensive role, but he’s not worse than Bogarde and he absolutely is better with the ball. We need to be proactive.

I'm inclined to agree with this.
