Yep, he was sent to the screen, reviewed it to confirm the ball hadn't gone out, then reviewed to see the ball hit a hand which was in a natural position for claiming "our ball", but not when actually defending it. So ref did have final decision.

Agreed, I think Digne was doing that arms-up 'I haven't touched it' gesture that footballers do when ushering the ball out of play, but prematurely.

No intent but y'know, defenders even having arms in their own box is punishable these days (unless they're using them to shove someone in the back, in which case fine, seemingly).

But I agree with Lee. We'll smash them at VP and all will be well.

The Digne incident to me was not so much Mings but Ken McNaught at Upton Park 1980; at least we do have a 2nd leg this time unlike on that occasion.
