Anderson should be out of this game and the second leg the dirty ******.  Loved th commentary team jizzing over a slo mo of that meg right after a slo mo of the ankle break lunge.  Classy.

We are too nice sometimes.

Buendia not good enough, Rogers needs to get in the game.

Yep, Bundia has been poor. A tight game might need some real quality to make the breakthrough.

Pretty happy at half-time. Forest had a good spell, but we've defended well, and pulled ourselves back into it over the last 10 mins. Think it's been fairly even.

Hard first half, goals in this for somebody, I would take Buendia off, move Rogers in bring on Maatsen to play wide and in front of Digne so he can get back and support Digne, he's going to need that second half, such an unwieldy side Forest, stubborn.

I thought it was a good half of football; both sides playing well. Ref missed the Anderson yellow, but he's generally had a decent game. Villa look very composed.
Keep this up!

Shockingly bad refereeing - not just the center, but VAR too. That's a red card all day long - Forest are being allowed to kick us freely, but when we do it the twat with the whistle blows.

Regardless, a decent 1st half . Doing the business.

World class save by Martinez.

Buendia, Rogers, Tilemans and Watkins have all been pretty crap to be honest, hopefully one of them can take the game by thw scruff of the neck in 2nd half.

Rogers playing centrally never works. We are clearly playing for a 0-0 though, so moving him probably won't make much difference.

Good half. Bit more composure going forward and we win this.
