Bernadesci is already tired.

So’s Rogers by the looks of it!

Didn't look like a foul. Looked like he tried to con the ref.

1.0 to the ArsenVilla

To the tune of Go West - a few of us were involved in a Pet Shop Boys Punathon earlier on pre-match thread. CD was a contributor.

I wouldn't say I enjoyed most of that but I was fairly chilled even at 0-0. 1-0 is lovely.

Well done Villa, just what we needed, played that cool calm and just right, emotional side Bologna just need to run the legs of them, lets have another goal and then focus on the weekend.

Brilliant Villa, keep it coming.

Very, very lucky to be in front. Everyone gets a 3/10 rating except Rogers, who gets a 1, purely for putting his shirt on the right-way round.

Play better in the second half and we put this to bed.

Fucking hell, straight back into the deep end here.
All over the place at times, maybe a bit rusty but stuck at it, didn't panic and got the reward.

A few unusually off the pace, hoping for better from them in the 2nd half.

To be fair Onana should be doing far better with the first corner. Couldn't trap a bag of sand.

Can someone explain the trap cement sand thingy? I’ve never really understood it.

Guess a player should be able to trap/control a football, not to mind a bag of....

I think we get Buendia and Rogers off - bring on Elliott and Bogarde - make us a bit stronger in the middle of midfield.
Rogers looks off the pace and irritated

This game has been all our European aways this season encapsulated, so far. Everyone moaning like fuck throughout, while Villa win.

and away to a team who have never lost at home in Europe. I think at least some people seem to forget that the opposition are actually trying to win the game as well.

We weren't great and got lucky with the disallowed goal but they've defended really well and given us no space to play in and pressed us very high. That's normally tough to keep up for a full match and especially now we've taken the lead.

Lucky, lucky Villa.

Rogers morphing into Bellingham, attitude stinks. Need more from him Buendia, McGinn and Watkins.
