Ticket pricing
« on: Today at 10:21:28 AM »
I took a look at other clubs prices and generally we are the 5th most expensive side to watch in the league.

5 most expensive ''cheapest'' tickets:

1. Everton £58
2. Chelsea £55
3. Newcastle £55
4. Forest £50
5. Aston Villa £46.75

5 most expensive tickets:

1. Arsenal £145.50
2. Fulham £125
3. West Ham £115
4. Tottenham £109
5. Aston Villa £96.60

I'm not sure just how accurate it is but it gives a picture of where were at with pricing. The current financial rules have now got us to a landscape where the favoured five can by and large offer a better product and matchday experience at a cheaper price whilst competitors for European positions have to charge more to fill the gap in income.

I know next season is largely dependant on what competition we are in but surely we can't raise prices any further with us already have gone from one of the cheaper teams to watch to one of the most expensive in just a short period of time.

Oh and new stadium = cheaper tickets. I'm not sure that's been proven to hold up. Everton have used the shiny new bauble to make them one of the most expensive sides to watch.

The prices for the season were baked in by our old mate Heck. Probably optimistic to assume prices will go down mind.

Me and my son are in L1 and I have a slight paranoia they will finally scrap our price band for the coming season.

So we’re 5th most expensive in the most expensive tickets category. The 4 above all have one thing in common and that is they’re all London clubs where, because of the location they generate more income. I think the newness of our fortunes on the pitch is the reason for our high ticketing prices. 10 years of continued success when we are established as a top club will see them be nearer mid-table, especially as we’ll have an increased capacity.

The prices will increase again and we'll get a little pat on the head offering £30 tickets for home cup draws.

I saved £180 by literally moving across the aisle from L3 to L2. I know this is only delaying the inevitable.

The more successful we become we’re rewarded by having more to pay. “Get behind the team and make some noise” Your reward is financial but not the way you think.

Just for context when the inevitable season ticket price hike lands….if we work on having 35k season ticket holders, if they whack £100 a ticket on season tickets that raises £3.5m - that was Kessler-Hayden last summer or would have been Louis Barry…it’s small change in PL monies.  Shouldn’t just be the fans constantly being fleeced….
