I could easily see a promoted club paying 10m for Mings. He's a top level backs to the wall Premier League defender, who would have more than 18 England caps if his ACL didn't go. You get, what, two years out of him? Could be the difference between staying up and going down. Think he's a really savvy signing for Coventry if they do it.

Would personally be sad to see him go. A big favourite of mine. But yeah, it's probably time.
Agree with all of this. He’s a Villa legend now, and one of my favourite players in my favourite Villa side. There’s only really SJM and *maybe* Big Emi above him in that regard, and both would go straight in to the best Villa XI I’ve seen.

I’d be happy keeping him, but his game time is only going to decrease now with us so I could perfectly understand him moving on. £10m-ish seems decent for a newly promoted club tbh. If you look at the kind of players we were buying in that price range at the time, it looked decent value for a player who’ll look perfectly at home at this level.

I had Mings to go this summer I must admit, I'm not sure I saw him play really that well in any game last season.

Sorry to pick out one thing in what was a well rounded post, but I'm gonna do it anyway. Fenerbache away. The man handling of Duran was fucking beautiful.

Good to see we still want a right winger although the pool is getting smaller on options. If Mbaye is off the table, Summerville has gone to Saudi and Barnes has signed a new deal, who else were we linked with? I think I'd almost prefer a punt on Gittens than Jackson out of Chelsea.

One at Feynoord that plays on the right with a lovely left peg from highlights I saw?

There was another really young kid but think he's going to Chelsea too.

Ndiaye from Everton please.

Looked a good player every time I've seen him play.

Mega bucks player, possibly off to Saudi Arabia.

It would be worth pushing the boat out to hear the Holte End warbling its way through "Ndiaye will always love you".

Who the hell is this Mick Brown who keeps saying our players want to leave?  Speaking like he’s got inside knowledge when in fact he’s reading the internet.

Paris St-Germain's Ibrahim Mbaye has been offered to both Liverpool and Manchester City after his agents made it clear the Senegal forward, 18, will not be joining Aston Villa this summer. (Teamtalk

Thanks fuck for that.  Great news having read about the circus that surrounds him.

Not the same Allan as Everton had that Bert with one turn left for dead and sliding into the ground. Sorry for the link but always worth seeing again.
