There is a very real possibility that Watkins, Emi and Konsa do go - all depends on other clubs

Weirdly (and again my own opinion no insight) - out those 3 - id say Watkins most likely. too much smoke around his name at the moment

Konsa - cant see arsenal finally paying whats needed
Emi - Juve are a piss take so that wont happen - so unless anyone else suddenly comes in for decent money or he fancies Saudi then he stays

Fenerbache 100% in for Watkins (thats the fact part)

So they're all probably going but they're staying?

The 3 are open to leaving. They only do if other clubs bid their value - obvious to say but thats all

As a club we are open to them ALL LEAVING

If Juve bid £15m+ then emi is gone
Konsa - £55m+
Watkins £35m+

All have been with us a long time and oepn to new challenges in their lives/age etc

Its a rock and a hard place for us as a team/club as we know this so its a little limbo land waiting on others to either shit or get off the pot

So they're either going or they're staying.

Yes, all would like to leave if they get their way

Losing the entire spine of the team from keeper to striker? Sounds like a winning strategy!

Just posted elsewhere that Emery might be using this window to completely re-set the squad and consequently our finances.

We probably didn't start the summer with this plan but events have forced our hand. Potentially we are taking the opportunity to cash our chips on the "29 years olds" whilst they have decent value.  In turn, we can sign younger players using the carrot of champions league football.

Bournemouth have had seasons where lots of their players leave. They’ve done ok. I look at the squad, even after the recent changes, and think it needs a major overhaul. Maybe ripping off the plaster is the answer.

I find it hard to believe that after winning a trophy and qualifying for the CL, six key players would want to piss off. This would never happen at any other club so why ours?

I think it was kind of cathartic for them as for us. I said at the time it felt rather like a chapter closing, this team finally fulfilling its brief at the last and getting over the line in a final. I don't blame people for feeling like it's time for something else.

They might want to leave BECAUSE we won a trophy.  That might have been their summit at Villa and they now want to tick off some other career goals.

If we sold all of Emi, Watkins, and Konsa we would be absolutely crazy regardless of cost.

One of them? Maybe, but even that’s a risk given the experience we’ve lost.

[responding to Monty]

Indeed.

Impossible to prove but, had they all stayed, we might have been utter shite.  Playing for emery must demand huge amounts of mental investment compared to other managers.  There's a chance they wouldn't have the stomach for it again.

I guess so, still think it wouldn't happen anywhere else.

Maybe it has given them the opportunity to maximise their revenue, the downside of having a squad with too many players the wrong side of 26.

Selling off our crown jewels this year may help our SCR this year, but it leaves us unable to do anything next year as it's recalculated per year, so I believe. So all the profit we make this year counts for nought next year.
