🔴🔵🔐 Deal confirmed since last week: Lucas Digne, new Paris Saint-Germain player until June 2029.

The release clause was triggered last week with formal steps now in place. Deal 100% done.

Ollie has to stay. We need to keep some experience at the club.

Even Smirker must agree.

He's busy calculating the new average age of the squad and whether having the oldest squad in the PL justifies 'We need to keep some experience at the club'.  There's also the accountants working out whether losing £15m-20m in value over a season justifies the cries of we need to keep him..I guess it depends what people think he's worth today?

Ideally we'd bring in another striker if we don't believe Tammy will deliver the goals but then we're leaving it a bit late to introduce a quality new player to the system.  I'd prefer we try not to make too many changes, losing starters Rogers, Tielemans and Digne is probably enough for one window.

Summerville looking likely to go to Roma. Interesting how he and Malen go together.

Mbaye and Soule would do me. Or the ones at Betis that was at Barca.

Anything in the Portuguese press Rudy, Goncalves seems to have gone away as a thing completely now.

Yep I’d argue it’s already too many key players, I certainly wouldn’t add another. I know people will be positive, and I hope they’re right, but Rogers and Tielemans covered so much of our creativity. It’s a huge gap to cover.

Rumours a couple weeks ago that Fenerbahçe were preparing a bid of 25M  for our Ollie. We really need to keep him now, more than ever for the season ahead.

The Turks have now bought 2 strikers so presumably that’s them out of the frame?

Oh they have?, that's good. Was Tammy one of them?

🚨 Aston Villa will use the money received for Morgan Rogers to sign the priority position of a fast winger, with Cryscensio Summerville & Ibrahim Mbaye among the leading targets.
@J_Tanswell

This is the shit I'm here for. Next season is going to be ace, the rest of the league won't know what's hit them

I like both those players. Summerville is 24. He wasn't someone I paid a lot of attention to playing for kit stealers, but by all accounts he didn't embarrass himself at all last season. And he was very good at the WC. A lot faster than I thought too. We need that to play a very different way. The next era of Emery is about to begin.

just break the bank and get Rashford and Mbaye for £90m. Get Estupinian for £15m and a RB (ideally not Royal) for the same. Sell Bailey for £10-£15m and ideally Guessand for as much as possible. job done

He was very highly thought of at Leeds, doesn't hide, prepared to put a shift in and still head and shoulders of anybody they've had there for a long time. Probably the lower risk but Ibrahim Mbaye probably has the greater potential to sell in a year or three.

He's too lightweight for the PL and would expect a big pay day. He'll be cheap but the wages..it's a no from me.

Okay, how's this for business:

Morgan Rogers -£117.0m minus 20m to Middlesbrough
Youri Tielemans -£36.0m
Donyell Malen -£21.6m
Enzo Barrenechea - £10.3m
Lewis Dobbin -£10.0m
Lucas Digne - £8.5m
Louis Barry, Mosquera and Swinkels - £2.1m approx.
Evann Guessand -£20.0m assumed
Leon Bailey - £12.0m assumed

Or £217.5m and change to play with. That could give us:

João Gomes -£38m
Johan Manzambi - £59.5m
Ibrahim Mbaye - £39m
Jonathan Rowe - £36m
Gabriel Sara - £30m
Pervis Estupiñán £15m

I'd like to see someone similar to Onana in most ways but a bit more willing to take risks with forward passes. Based on that, and purely going by stats, I'd see what Rennes want for Djaoui Cisse.
Clearly he'd need much more scouting than I've done with this but on paper and from those highlights he looks a great fit, and would be about £15m and on fairly low wages.

Great call Paul but you're well off with your pricing, Rennes turned down €30m from Inter last summer believing he could be worth double that in 12 months time. More recently Arsenal have been sniffing around. The lad looks a real talent with a very bright future.

I just went with the rumours linking him to Stuttgart. Even still £25m isn't unreasonable for someone with that sort of ceiling.

While I think he’s a good player, I’d be very disappointed Mr Dawg if we lashed out £36M on Rowe.
