But a low fee helps towards the wage, too.

Ideally we want Man U to be shitting themselves they have him fir another season and lower the price, and Rashford to be shitting himself he’s going to be stuck there again and accept a lower wage.

That’s why I think it’d be best to wait.

I expect to see us make moves for Summerville & Mbaye & still be in profit.

🚨🟣🔵 Nicolas Jackson among names discussed between Aston Villa and Chelsea during contacts over last 24h.

Unai Emery loves Jackson since they used to work together at Villarreal + was also a target last summer.

These wankers wanted £80M odd from Bayern for this clown. He did well with Unai at Villareal but even at half the price I wouldn't touch him.

Surely if we wanted Rashford, we’d have done this at the same time as Tielemans.

Doubt it. I don’t if we want him or vice versa, but doing an exchange type deal would have been viewed dimly by UEFA.

Maybe. However I don’t think we’re in for him.

One thing we can’t boast about next year is having the best midfield across Europe being assembled for the whopping 14.5 million!

I think Rashford's wages would be the issue not the fee.

Barca don’t want him, the plastic reds don’t want him and realistically he will need to lower his expectations if he wants to be at a club where he’s wanted and potentially adored. That is down to him and his agent, but if he wants the salary then I expect him to take the Saudi Riyal.

I think Barcelona would still happily take him on loan, but Man U aren't interested.

Tanswell

Johan Manzambi regarded as direct replacement for Morgan Rogers. Now accelerates #AVFC moving for a pacey wide player. Villa did not want to sell Rogers but pushed and received British record fee which is vital in ensuring they are compliant with the financial regulations.

🚨🇦🇷 Alejandro Garnacho gives priority to AS Roma as potential next destination with talks ongoing with Chelsea.

Deal depends on club to club talks as Chelsea insist on permanent/guaranteed exit, Roma offer loan with buy clause to become mandatory.

So cross him off and plays the same side as Jimmy so imagine Roma wouldn't be in for both....

Looks very likely that Palhinha and Estupinan will join and approx.£100m to spend on others.
I don't like selling our best players but the upshot could be that we will have the luxury of always fielding a strong team. The first season we qualified for CL,we had Zaniolo,Dendoncker,Chambers ,Lenglet and Iroebugnam playing.
Last season,4th,with Guessand,Sancho and Bailey on the right flank .

Be great to get Rashford, class player, quick, scores often enough but just can't see it.  I agree with OCD, younger players like Mbaye would be excellent.

I'd like Nusa and Mbaye.

I’m on that bus….much better options than likes of Rowe

From the Beeb

Portugal midfielder Joao Palhinha is expected to return to Bayern Munich for the start of pre-season with reports the 31-year-old is due to sign for Aston Villa wide of the mark. (Sky Germany)

I'd like us to sign Morgan Gibbs White from Forest. He's dynamic and scores goals. I'd have thought £45m would be enough to sign him?
