Bardell appeared to have access to the club under Tony Xia but NSWE started to run things properly.

They didn’t tell him the Generator was going in 🤔😀

Haha yes, I saw that. They actually told everybody but Justin missed that.

A piece in the Athletic about our new guy, Modou Keba Cisse;

https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/7405245/2026/07/06/modou-keba-cisse-aston-villa/

"Cisse made 30 appearances in a LASK side which went from a seventh-placed finish in the 2024-25 campaign to league and cup winners. Cisse held the best points-per-match average of any player in the Austrian first division (2.08), with his own game immeasurably developing in that time."

"Cisse came to Bodymoor Heath on December 16 last year, spending a week training with manager Unai Emery and his side."

"When Villa were learning about his personality, they asked if he played PlayStation. He responded that he preferred to either focus on the next game, practise English or sleep instead."

Forgotten all about him.  Looks like he could be Konsas deputy next season?

Hopefully he's going to have a good opportunity in pre-season to show what he is made of, especially with Konsa scheduled to return later due to the World Corrupt.

Am I right in thinking that Konsa is the only England outfield player who has played every minute of the WC?

You are indeed right. Just Konsa and Pickford from the whole squad.

He looked absolutely banjaxed last night.  That last 10 minutes it just seem to be him relentlessly shuffling inside to get the shape, running out to mark the left-winger and prevent the cross, defend a cross and repeat.  They must all be knackered, but it felt like Ezri had it particularly hard in that last 15 minutes, when the pressure on his position was relentless.

Louie Barry, the man with all the vowels, is being linked with a move to Sheffield (*checks*) Wednesday.

 Ibrahim Mbaye (18) no longer wants to settle for a bit-part role at PSG — Aston Villa are the ‘hottest’ team in the race.
@sebnonda
@Santi_J_FM

We're hot.

That seems like it would be pretty exciting so probably won't happen.

I suspect next season will be Lindy's last with us, but with Onana fucked again, he is now Kamara's deputy.
