I have a theory that Onana is consciously playing within himself in an effort to avoid getting injured. Possibly he's been instructed to do so.
With 4 fit centre halves, and Konsa and Lindelof capable at right back, I'm surprised Bogarde started at RB. I'd have saved him for a midfield role as he's currently better than Liuz and Barkley. At least Tammy and Alysson got some minutes tonight.
Mings immense. No surprise he was the difference. Most importantly, Unai picked him.
Bogarde seems scared of going forward with the ball. It seems he always thinks he has to keep it short and to the adjacent Villa player, instead of seeing a gap and going for it because he is thinking he mustn’t upset Unai.
Who was the co-commentator tonight? He’s an ex player I think?
