How is Mings ahead of Lindelof?
This is a conundrum

Hmm - not the team I would have gone with.

Want to see Luiz and Onana control the midfield - I think that will be key.   Winston at RB could be an issue

Would have gone with Tammy - but Watkins loves a goal against Brighton.  UTV

Bogarde at right back is an accident waiting to happen. Really poor choice putting him out there.

That’s a poor side on paper, trying to stay optimistic but disappointed no Pau or Tammy starting.

It’s a bit bonkers that governing bodies are keen for clubs to play a million games a season but won’t let some teams invest in players to do that. Complete con.

Knowing our luck Pau is carrying a knock so is only there in case of emergency. Which will probably happen.

That’d be my suspicion, or they’re proactively managing minutes.

Torres hasnt been great lately to be fair, Newcastle and Brentford a bit meh. But I'd be a bit worried about Mings hitting the red zone himself tonight in terms of fatigue/injury - must be his fourth game in about three weeks since coming back from a long injury.  Would have thought Torres was a cert to come back in.

Luiz - third game in 11 days too.

That Bogarde/Sancho flank could be a dead zone tonight. Getting Lindelof back in and switching Konsa over to RB would have been more logical. Bogarde was completely lost v Salzburg at RB.

Last time we lost 3 in a row at home in the league was 2020, and the third side was Brighton.

It makes me think that Unai and the coaching team push these guys to the limits to the extent they burn out. Maybe that’s the only way to get them playing at a level to compete with more expensive squads.

On the plus side we've already qualified for the CL so Saul Goodman.

No, Ty and Pow are left-footed and Lindelof and Konsa right-sided. Lind only played on the left when the two choices there were crocked.

There was a stat that came out that our players cover the least amount of ground of any team in the league, and that we press the 3rd lowest amount of any team.
