Pub keeping from Emi.

What did he do wrong? We were a bit unfortunate there but some finish from that angle. Would prefer to be 0-1 down against ten men at half time rather than 0-0 v 11. Creating chances anyway

Bogarde is a weak link today but they are so so lucky with that goal. Niggly cynical
Cloggers.  Got every fucking bounce.

To me it looked like Buendia let go too easily in midfield

9 times out of 10 that shot doesn't go in.Think it's going pretty much to plan and fully expect us to up it in the second half as per

It might be an idea to bring Leon on for tactical reasons. They are going to squeeze the middle even more now

Not a good half for Villa, even with 10 Brentford know how to work this, its going to be difficult, Bailey on Elliot on players that can run at a defence, Onana on, Sancho off, not quite sure what he's doing, Bogarde off, not sure what he's doing, Tammy looks the part but plays an entirely different role in his natural game to Ollie, Rogers is missing Ollie, some work to do here.

Yep. Not sure what Emi was supposed to do there. First thing was a cross so he went to dive in front ot Thiago, recovered quickly and then the finish was where no goal keeper would have been standing to save it.

Bailey AND Sancho, two wingers as they will block out the middle.  Might be worth seeing if Barkley can find the space and take Bogarde off after an hour.

I'd bring him on because he's far more likely to try and get in the box. Tammy let a cross run at one point, clearly expecting Sancho to be behind him following up. He was standing gormlessly outside the area.

Three of Dango Outtara's four Premier League goals this season have been match opening strikes, with two coming against Aston Villa.

Barkley's good for a goal but no way Luiz and Barkley in a 2. Barkley at 10 maybe after a while but would give Buendia a lot longer first. Bailey for Sancho and Onana for Bogarde. Get our tempo up . Cash and Maatsen bombing on.

Well the good news is if it was 0-0 we would be patient but now I expect they have had a rocket up their arses half time so I am expecting a different team this half

I didn't think we'd done too badly really, bolt from the blue that goal
