I can just about accept it being disallowed if the ball was definitely out, my issue is if they knew it was definitely out. Even the tiniest doubt and it has to stand.

They haven't got the technology to tell for sure, so are guessing.  So how can that be clear and obvious?

That’s ridiculous- how can you bring it back that far - from the footage if seen it was probably out but not indisputably out

If you are going to bring it back that far then you've got to be absolutely certain of any overrule; not just going on a recommendation

And to check for a throw-in.  By that precedent every throw-in should be checked then?

That’s what I don’t get. They aren’t so why does that one get checked. Because it’s a goal? Or they all have to get checked.

I suspect there may be trouble after this.  That was bad as you may as we’ll go back to when a football was first kicked in play to se if a goal is illegal -  just fucking stupid

If it takes more than 60 secs  to work it out , give the goal   .

Indeed.

Not clear and obvious.

One of those games it seems where we will press for the balance of the game, have 80% possession and not score.

Ask yourself would that happen at old trafford. I think we all know the answer

We did score but corrupt officiating said we didn't

We're trying to give them no respite by taking everything as quick as possible.

In the NFL on the field decision stands. So for example had the goal not been given to start with then there wouldn’t have been enough obvious evidence that an error had been made to overturn that decision. That it took so long to determine that there was error immediately deems there not being enough definable evidence to disallow it. I know we have benefitted from VAR but the whole rule and how it’s applied is killing the game and natural joy of it.
