Jhon Duran v Aston Villa

64 mins on his arse
12 mins offside
9 mins trying and failing to outmuscle Mings
5 mins moaning at the ref

Real back to the walls stuff there in the second half. Can't believe we have to go to Newcastle in less than 72 hours.
We don't, it's 88 hours till we play Newcastle.

Great - plenty of time!

Don’t know about anyone else, but I got the feeling if Sancho had had more game time, he would have scored more than one tonight. He’d have been a second quicker which would have made all the difference. Of course, he’s got to earn it.

But Maybe we need to play him into form. I haven’t checked but it feels like we’ve spent more time hoping Guessand makes it.
Maybe we’ve been backing the wrong one..?
Sancho was mostly useless apart from his goal.

What a pick me up after the last week of negativity.

Fantastic away performance, lovely stuff. Some of the less celebrated players (Mings, Bizot) shone tonight which was great to see.

Have to disagree. His defensive covering work was excellent and he looked dangerous going forward. Especially the first half. I’ve been a critic of his but not today.

Their fans certainly got after him near the end when he couldn't be bothered chasing a ball. Asensio dropping so deep he was practically a centre back at one point.

I agree. I’m not his biggest fan but showed a lot more today than he has done. Lots of room for improvement though.

He lost the ball almost every time he had it.
