Not the Spiderman fella ?

Unfortunately not, so we won't be seeing Zendaya at Villa Park for a while yet.

How did Tammy get injured when he scored the goal? His pain and lack of celebration was a real vibe-killer. Hopefully he does better next time.

As someone who has dislocated both shoulders over the years, that had the look of someone grabbing his arm and temporarily pulling it out of its socket, or very close to it. It can be a quick in/out, which hurts like a bugger, but eases pretty quickly.  However, if he's susceptible to that type of injury, then there is only so much that physio can do to strengthen the muscles around the rotator cuff before surgery is needed.  That can be pretty invasive (or at least it was 20 years ago), so I hope this isn't a recurring issue for him.

I saw Rogers with his shoulders taped up a while ago and thought something similar, though he continues to play unhindered, or so it appears, anyway.

I used to work with a lad about 20 years ago who was a decent semi-pro, but his shoulder was constantly getting disclocated.

This isn’t particularly a targeted point on Tammy based on tonight, he was poor obviously, but just one of the multitudes. But tonight just reemphasised what a strange signing he was for us, given we have limited money. He is the epitome of a striker who can finish with service - our big problem is we don’t create many chances. He then offers virtually nothing to the build-up play. Conversely you have Ollie, who isn’t the most clinical finisher, but whose all round game drags others into play, and helps us create the limited chances we do.

I just don’t get what we were thinking from a strategic point of view. Tammy is ok, but for a team who needs to maximise the money we spend is a pretty strange choice.

Back to goal play is incredibly poor.

He has no pace and lacks any ability and guile to play ball when defender is on his back. We have made a terrible error and wasted £18M.

Seemed to rely on teammates to tell him when to press Kinsky, an inexperienced keeper still repairing fragile confidence. Should have rushed him a bit more to put the shit up 'im.

Apart from doing a great job winning a corner once in the first half I reckon a larger than average mannequin would have done a similar job today.

Did nothing today, but he needs at least another 15 games of consecutive starts before I start accusing people of being Abraham Adorers.

The service to our front players for most of season has been dreadful. I’m not sure Tammy or Ollie had he played from the start could have done a lot.

At least when Watkins came on there was a bit of pressing and closing down.

In the first half it was as if Barkley and Abraham thought they were going to catch something infectious from going too close to their keeper and centre-backs.

Agreed. Though disappointed Unai didn't decide to bring on Watkins to play alongside Abraham and dump Barkley in the bins behind the Trinity Road stand, what we saw was Watkins having more fun against a tired defence. There's not a great deal between them but one thing that does stand out is how much more aggressive Watkins is. He'll give as much as he takes, certainly no push over and a characteristic I hadn't previously pricked up him.
