Wyndham Clark leading by 6, but of the 5 players in joint second place, Scottie Scheffler is probably the one most likely to make a challenge to him.

Great win for Wyndham Clark, leading from the front all the round.

As we all know the last time England won the World Cup was 60 years ago, well with the Open starting tomorrow at Royal Birkdale, the golfing chat is can an Englishman win The Open in England for the frst time since Tony Jacklin did it in 1969. Well the bookies have got Scheffler as favourite at 15-2 then Rory 8-1 and then Matt Fitzpatrick and Tommy Fleetwood both 14s. What a day Sunday would be if either of those two won the Open and England won the World Cup!

It will only be 'coming home' if Robert McIntyre or Jack McDonald wins it. C'mon Rory and Shane!

I see that the R&A have again said they're looking to hold a future Open at Portmarnock

That'll be fine in Britain and Ireland, where it's correctly referred to as The Open.
However, when the American's call it The British Open, what will be the reaction ?

I’d imagine the Irish will quite rightly tell them where they’re going wrong.
