Surprised to hear of anyone under 40 named Brian

Apparently there were 71 new Brian's in the Uk in 2024, which is more than I expected and more than there were new Paul's (65) and Lee's (22).

I'm genuinely stunned that any kids born this year share my name, it feels like it was exclusively the preserve of 1974-1978.

I am smack bang in the middle of that range and I agree. You never meet Lees much older or younger. It’s a very exclusive name.

Lee is my middle name, and the first name of my cousin, who is almost 55.

I was always scared of kids called Lee. They were always a bit tasty, in my experience (and I'm from Telford, where Lee was the name you came with).

My mate called his son Lee because he wanted to give him a name he could spell. True story.

He grew up and became the lead singer of Imagination.

I can think of one who's not so much scary as dangerous.

I’m a Lee. I have a customer, who when contacts me spells it Lea. I have corrected him when replying but he still spells it wrong.
